Make It Monday #189: Impression Line water Coloring-Thankful For You!

I don't know where the week went. With all the snow and kids out of school it really flew. I never left the house but I cannot account for the hours everyday. I had big plans to craft
but it didn't happen until tonight. I was long overdue to play a bit.

So, Erin showed us this cool technique on Impression Line Water Coloring.
Here is my favorite card from the line up.

Supplies:  Avocado and Kraft CS, Bitty Dot PP, Scalloped Journal Die, Phrase Play Thankful
For You Die, Felt, Bitty Button Dies, Dark Chocolate Ink, Watercolors and twine.

That's it for tonight! See ya'll this week for the Blog Hop(at least, I plan to participate!)

Make It Monday #189: Impression Line water Coloring-blank note card

So, Erin showed us this cool technique on Impression Line Water Coloring for this past week's MIM. For this card, I decided to just leave it as a note card and blank. I figured I could always add a sentiment if I wanted at another time. I just didn't know what I wanted at the time and I like having cards with nothing on them.
I played with this one. Tried a few different techniques but liked how it came out in the end.
Raspberry Fizz CS and the cover plate is a MFT Die-namics die called Floral Fusion.

Make It Monday #189: Impression Line water Coloring Pet Sympathy

So, Erin showed us this cool technique on Impression Line Water Coloring for this past week's MIM. Love it! I had so much fun I just kept going. I needed a pet sympathy card so I used the PTI Pet Sympathy($5 set) for the sentiment on the front, the scalloped journal card, soft
stone CS and sweet blush.

I don't really like the watercolor on this card. If I made a similar card, I think I
would just use the die or stamp a paw. The heart Paw die is a die set from Paper Smooches

Make It Monday #189: Impression Line water Coloring #4

So, Erin showed us this cool technique on Impression Line Water Coloring for this past week's MIM. Love it! I had so much fun doing the leaves, I did another one.

"Today I'm grateful for:" is also from Gratitude Journal. I used Raspberry Fizz CS instead this time. The dies are all from Prima, I love these leaves!!

Thanks for stopping!!

Make It Monday #189: Impression Line water Coloring #3

So, Erin showed us this cool technique on Impression Line Water Coloring.

I don't know where the week went. With all the snow and kids out of school it really flew. I never left the house but I cannot account for the hours everyday. I had big plans to craft
but it didn't happen until tonight. I was long overdue to play a bit.

Here is one of my embossed leaves(Prima dies) cards. These are great to color

with watercolors. In or out of the lines, mixing colors, you can't really mess up. So much FUN!
"Thankful for" is from Gratitude Journal and on the inside it says "You" also from GJ. New Leaf CS too.

Thanks for looking!!

Here is my second tag, simple. I always need thanks tags too and I love to have these for a quick little gift.

I used the Wet Paint Thanks die to emboss into my tag, a little watercolor, gold foil tape, a gold pen and a bit of gold twine.

Anyway I got lost in my watercoloring. It relaxes me so and I really enjoy it, good or not!

Here is my first tag, I love to have them on hand for bottles of wine. I will hang it on this way or attach it to a wine bottle die when the time comes to use it.

I impressed my Wonderful words:happy die and used my gold watercolor. Some  stars and anniversay from Phrase Play #5 in Galaxy Gold. Finished it of with a little twine tassle.

Poppy's Ladder and a home decor piece I love!

First, let me introduce Poppy. This is my husband's grandparents. I do know that this
picture was taken in 1967. Poppy passed in August of 1973, taken a bit too early from Geraldine.

My husband and I met in the 90's so Poppy was only a memory but I was lucky enough to
have gotten to know Gerry or GG as we called her. I am so thankful that she got to spend
a few years getting to know her two Great Grandchildren as well, Nick(our nephew) and Kim(our
daughter). GG had a good life and went home peacefully on November 24, 2011. We sure
do miss her but have some wonderful memories.

My husband and I now live in the house that GG resided in later in her life. She always
wanted one of her grandchildren to live in it. I guess maybe because then she would know
we would continue to care for it as she did. We inherited many of the things that come with a home,
especially since it was in the family. The ladder being one of those things. It was no longer safe
to use as a ladder but my husband was a bit attached to it. We decided to keep it and put it to use.

So, here is Poppy's ladder:

It's not exactly how I want it but I think it will be one of those on going decor items where
you are constantly adding and changing.
Here's to you GG and Poppy!
