Make It Monday: #53-Creative Coasters

So, here's my last take at this MIM challenge. I'll be glad to do a different technique as much as I
enjoyed this.  I used my houndstooth folder to emboss the coaster first. Inked it up a bit Then I used Mat Stack #4 to make a frame. I used a dark chocolate card base then some pretty pp that matched the Autumn
Rose CS perfectly. I used fillable Frames #10 on Autumn Rose and some ribbon from my stash.
That all for now. Have a great week eveyone!!

Make It Monday: #53-Creative Coasters

Here is another take at the Make It Monday challenge found here:
http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/make-it-monday/

I wanted to do something a little different with this one so I decided to make a tag/gift card holder. I wanted to wait to adhere any ribbon, not really knowing what I would attach this to and how.
Anyway, I embossed the coaster with a cuttlebug folder, spritzed it with Perfect Pearls mist and stamped the Thank You from Botanical Silhouttes. I attached a little pocket to the back for a place to put a gift card.

Thanks for looking!

Here's another card for the MIM challenge found here: http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/make-it-monday/
I embossed the coaster with a cuttlebug folder with the candles and swiped a couple ink pads over it for some color. Then I put the coaster on some patterned paper. Added a double ended banner die with Happy Birthday from Inside and Out: Birthday. Some PTI ribbon and that's all. Thanks for looking!!

Make It Monday: #53-Creative Coasters

I have one more for now and the coaster board are the Butterflies!!  I tried my best to peel apart the layers to give them some dimension. Lost a few pieces but for the most part it worked out.

I am trying to use PP more, this is a challenge in itself for me. Unless it's something that came together, I find it difficult to put pp with other things and designs. Anyway, this PP was a piece of K & Co. Que Sera Sera, I think. I think it's so pretty! I used a doily spritzed with Sunflower Sparkle Perfect Pearls Mist. Adhered the Tim Holtz Die cut Butterflies with glossy accents(the only thing that would stick!) Found a felt flower that wanted to join the party. Added some rhinestones.
I added the PTI Just The Ticket Die and sentiment at the bottom.  I think I could say I had a productive evening last night!!  Thanks for looking!! Let me know what you think!

Make It Monday: #53-Creative Coasters

So, can you tell, I really like this challenge??  Find it here:

http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/make-it-monday/

I was a very busy girl last night creating. My daughter had a friend sleepover so I was on
my own more or less. It was very nice to have some ME time!

Anyway we had to use a coaster and I embossed mine with a cuttlebug folder and then used Mat Stack 5 Layers to die cut it. I did bling it up a little with Perfect Pearls Mist in Pearl-love this!! I also used DCWV
Lemon Flower Stack for my PP and used an EK success border punch. I stamped the sentiment using PTI Think Big Fav's # 3. Cut some PTI felt in Harvest Gold using Beautiful Blooms 1 and a piece of gray CS. Layered them up and topped them with a PTI button and some twine and I was done!!
One more and I'm done. :) Jen

Papertrey Ink Anniversary- Movers and Shakers Challenge

Another spinner card for the challenge over at Papertrey Ink found here: http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/
I thought a falling leaf would be kinda cool so that's what I did. I used Canyon Clay for the background and stamped little acorns around with Canyon Clay ink. I used Autumn Abundance PP, Canyon Clay and Rustic Cream CS. I used the XL rick rack to have the leaf slide in. The top piece was made with a fiskers punch and the sentiment box was a portion of Mat Stack 5.

Wreath for All Seasons, Limitless Labels Stamp Sets, PTI leaf die
Other supplies-Embossing Folder.   Fun, fun, fun!!!

Thanks for looking!!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary- Movers and Shakers Challenge

Today is the last of the challenges over at Papertrey Ink because tomorrow is the big release for Feb. You can find the challenge here: http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/

This was so much fun!!  I guess sometimes you should try something new even when you don't think you'll like it. I really enjoyed making this! I used Tim Holtz Edger dies and then cut the rest with my exacto knife which was very easy. I used a coaster so I can enter the MIM challenge as well. The sentiment says "sip and Relax" . I used Tea for Two and Asian Fusion for stamps. Ripe Avocado, Orange Zest and Spring moss for the card base. I also used foam adhesive so I'd have room to slip in a tea bag behind the coaster.

Have a great day!!

Make It Monday: #53-Creative Coasters

First let me apologize for the rotten picture. I could not get one without the glare. I used Perfect Pearls Mist and it sure is glimmery!!  This card is for the Make It Monday over at Nichole's blog. You can find the challenge here:
http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2012/02/make-it-monday-53-creative-coasters.html

I first used Tumbled Glass(Tim Holtz) on my coaster and then Perfect Pearls mist. I then used Turning A New Leaf to die cut the coaster. I stamped Merci on the bottom of the coaster(the part you can barely see) with Raspberry Fizz. I stamped on Hibiscus Burst using Turning A New Leaf stamp with Hawaiian Shores Ink to get the pretty purple color on the CS layer behind the coaster. I had the butterfly floating around just waiting to be used on a project someday.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary-heart challenge

So, our challenge today over at Papertrey Ink http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/ is to make something using hearts, any hearts of any kind. I have a little peek at something I'm doing for Valentine's Day but I don't want to completely ruin in for those that may be reading this. I will show more of this maybe later in the week.  So that's all for now. Everyone have a great weekend!!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary-Sketch Challenge

Back to sketch #2. I decided to incorporate another MIM as well and this is what I came up with tonight.

I started out with Mat Stack #4 and stamped on both sides of it but in red and black. I embossed my Pure Poppy CS with a Tim Holtz embossing folder that was inked up before I ran it through my Vagabond. I used the Wine Bottle Tag die to cut my PP and heat embossed my sentiment from Asian Fusion onto my Double Ended Banner die cut and that was that.  Now, I need to go to bed. I hate to do it because I could really keep making cards ALL night again but I think it's catching up with me and I do have an early day tomorrow. So,  have a great evening!

My inspiration came from Maile Belles for this card and her card is below. I liked this but wanted to make a card a little less feminine. As simple as it is I think it's my favorite card so far tonight. I am determined to give my best shot at winning something but hey, if I don't...... I've got tons of cards!!!

I loved the colors in the card that Lisa made found here: http://pinterest.com/pin/236861261621887265/ so I kept them pretty much the same. Changed the sentiment and switched it around a little but I love her style!!

That's all for now........Jen

All supplies are PTI except the colored twine that came from JoAnn Fabric.

Papertrey Ink is still having all kinds of festive fun until the 15th. Today we had to get inspiration from Pinterest because they just teamed up together. Makes life easier for me!!!!!
My inspiration for this card was from Nichole and I guess I had to get away from the pinks because this card jumped out at me and I see it did to someone else that posted a few ahead of me, at least it looks that way. Here is the link:http://pinterest.com/pin/236861261621887222/

And here is my card:

Here is the link for my inspiration photo: http://pinterest.com/pin/236861261621887236/
It's a card by Maile Belles.  I didn't change much because I loved how clean and simple it was, which is very difficult for me to leave something so very simple! Definitely a challenge!

Okay, so let me apologize for the sideways picture. I turned it the correct way and tried to upload it but it came up with an error and I am in no way a computer geek. I'm lucky to be able to post by myself, so you'll have to turn you're head....SORRY!  All PTI supplies.

Papertrey Ink Anniversary-Color Challenge #3

Ashley-colors
Papertrey is still challenging us everyday until the Feb release on the 15th! It's gonna be a good one!!
For this attempt I used Ashley's favorite colors and here's another Birthday card to add to my stash:

I used Hawaiin Shores for the card base and a border punch with an extra strip of blush stuck in there on the end. Then I used the Cane Impression plate on the Berry Sorbet CS. Stamped the HB from Think Big Fav's
onto Simply Char. and cut it from In The Meadow snow Border. Attached a little paper tail. The flower was made with Beautiful Blooms #1. A little harvest gold felt stuck in the middle.  I'm not sure if I'll get to another tonight but see ya"ll tomorrow!!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary-Color Challenge

For my next card I used:

Dawn-colors

I started out by cutting a frame out of Rasp Fizz CS from one of my spellbinders dies. I then used Berry sorbet to make the flowers using Friends Til The End. A Rasp Fizz button and felt for the centers. The leaves were done with Ripe Avocado CS.  I stamped the background lightly with grass from Botanical Silhouettes, as well as the sentiment. This also fits into the Make It Monday category so I will enter that challenge as well.
Thanks for checking it out!
Jen

Papertrey Ink Anniversary-Color Challenge

                        Melissa-colors
These were the colors I got my inspiration from and I absolutely love everything Melissa Phillips makes!
The base of my card is hibiscus burst and I die cut a flower from Rasp Fizz(Friends Til The End), stamped it with Rasp Fizz and adhered it to a silk flower. Added some leaves from Turning a New Leaf and a little border with an EK success punch out of Autumn Rose.  That's about all for now. Oh, the cute little owl stamp is from Avocado Arts!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary-Sending My Love

Wow, this is it for real. My last card. I used Maile Belles design again and turned it into a Valentine card. I used the Wine Bottle Die and the Double Ended Banner Die. Embossed my card with a Sizzix heart folder. Pop dotted the image in the opening left from cutting the wine bottle die out. Added a sentiment from CTMH. Tied on some bakers twine with a polymer clay heart (that I made) dangling from the banner.

That's it!! Nite Nite!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary-Hello

For this card I chose the image that Maile Belles designed. I did two takes on it tonight. I used Mat Stack 4 twice. Cut the orange in half after stamping it with Background Basics, Adhered the other on top, added some bling and that was it. A very quick and easy card!!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary-Birthday- Rock Star!

Another birthday card, one can NEVER have enough!  I used Men of Life PP,Poppy CS, Half & Half Die, the cassette that Erin Lincoln designed,( pop dotted it for dimension.) The other stamps were another set but I'm not sure by whom.
