Make It Monday #25: Coloring with White Ink
Just wanted to get this up for the MIM challenge over at the PTI blog http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/
Papertrey Ink supplies:
Spooky Sweets, Spooky Sweets II, Parisian lace doily die, banner die and terracotta tile paper
Other supplies:
Tim Holtz background stamp, Quikutz cookie cutter scallop circle die,
White versamark ink pad, dabber.
How to make:
Stamp background on Terracotta Tile paper with Black ink. I used a Tim Holtz background stamp and archival ink. Cut parisian doily ( http://www.papertreyink.com/ ) from black paper. Cut a smaller scallop circle from orange paper(I used quikutz die). Stamp round image stamp from Spooky Sweets II (PTI) in black. Ink around inside of circle with white ink(I used versamark) and a dabber. Also ink around outer edge of black doily. Stamp spider(Spooky Sweets II from PTI) on orange cardstock and trim around edges. I covered him with glossy accents to give him shine. Let dry. Adhere doily to paper and then put scallop circle on doily with pop dots for dimension. Then use a couple more pop dots to adhere spider. Cut out double edged banner in black. Crinkle and ball up in your hand and unroll to flatten out. Ink with white like the others and stamp with Happy Halloween sentiment from
Spooky Sweets(PTI). Fold ends under and adhere. I also put a mini black button next to the sentiment. Any questions, let me know by leaving me a comment. Thanks so much!!
Enjoy your day. Hope to be back with the other challenge and blog hop later.

A Stamp-A-Faire Review
Where do I even begin?
Let me begin by saying that I was very thankful we made it through the wicked thunder and lightning storm we hit in and around Cleveland. It was treacherous. So bad that we had to pull over because my good friend Laurie could not even see the road!
These are the adorable suitcases that were loaded with PTI goodies as giveaways!! I can't say I was lucky enough to win one but what a treat!!
I have to tell you that Nichole, the design team, and everyone involved made this event SPECTACULAR!
This is hands down the BEST event I've ever been to and I hope they do it again. It was well thought out with an Around the World theme and very well organized. They thought of everything! We even got postcards at the end of the night to send to our new friends!! I meet two wonderful ladies from North Carolina and I know they will be forever friends! We even got photo booth pictures together!!
I could go on for pages but I don't want to make anyone feel worse about not being able to go for whatever reason. I just wanted everyone to know what a wonderful time this was and that it was no doubt a success!! Thank you to Papertrey Ink for a very memorable Saturday in July!!!!!

Take Two on Make it Monday #24: Dry Brushing
I started this card with good intentions but as soon as I saw another similar card posted I put it aside. That is until I got my PTI goodie box and I couldn't wait to use some of the items. I am attending Stamp-A-Faire
and after packing I had to sit and do something so this is what I came up with.
I used the Library Ledger and Tag It's #6 stamps, the Limitless Layers Dies, Double edged banner die,and one of the Half & Half dies. I love these!! SOOOOO many possibilities! I also used the apple die and glued on some bakers twine for something different.
On another note. My daughter has decided that since I get to play on "Make It Monday", she can too. We have been making things on Mondays. So far everything has been food related. Three weeks ago it started with pizza in which she created Italy out of her dough! Totally not planned( she's 8) but I WISHED I took a picture, we were too hungry! The next week we made fresh baked choc. chip cookies and smooshed soft ice cream between two cookies for yummy cookie wiches. They were delicious too.
I am off to Cinci in the morning for the PTI Stamp-A-Faire on Saturday. Pretty darn excited so I'm not too sure if I'll be posting anything or not. I just may be too wrapped up. Everyone have a great weekend!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #24: Dry Brushing
This was such a fun technique. I don't have a big collection of PTI stuff yet but I did use the Garden Variety
stamp set for this Little Pixie. Her shirt is stamped with the flowers. The sentiment I used was also from the set but I ended up putting it inside the card because I didn't like it as much on the outside.
I cut the sunflower out on my Cricut(Stretch Your Imagination).
I also used some glossy accents on some of the details. I ended up masking the middle of the sunflower so I could add a little texture to the flower by stamping it. The stretchy elastic is from Hobby Lobby and I found this button in my stash(thought it went perfectly). I pop dotted the sunflower on as well as the pixie and for a little extra dimension I added an extra layer on the small flower. That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Card with hand stitched pocket
I made this card for the Make it Monday challenge over at PTI blog. http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/
I used the linen closet card stack, a Martha Stuart border punch, some bakers twine to stitch up the pocket, prima flowers, hero arts ribbon and a PTI Mat stack die for the tag in the pocket. Also used PTI stamps from Calendar Basics and Spooky Sweets II. Oh, I also used some cookie cutter dies to cut out the flower and the "hi".
That's about all for now. Have a great weekend!
Just glad I was able to post this. Dealing with minor computer problems.

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday: Multi color stamping with Ink refills
Okay, so I'm a week behind but I got it done. When Papertrey Ink posted this challenge I was out of town but I did want to participate, so when I got home, I got to work! Now, all I could think of was fall leaves for this particular challenge. Please forgive me, I am not wishing the summer days away! I do love the technique used here. July 4th this technique was done by incredible Betsy Veldman here: http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/.
I used Fathers Know Best stamp set and I really enjoyed making this card. I'd like to use this technique more so I hope to be back with another card or two. Enjoy the summery days!
