Stretch Your Dies-Day 7 Alphabet Dies

So here we are at the end of this Online Card Class, Stretch Your Dies. It's been great, I just wish it wasn't over yet! :(

I loved every single video and card from day 7 but I loved the simplicity of Jennifer's Celebrate card so I decided to recreate one like that. I used an old Quickutz Alphabet that I had. I alsocut apart a Papertrey Ink Banner Sentiment Stamp and that was about it. I also added a little silver embossed heart too for the dot in the i.
Hope everyone had as much fun as I had, see you in class!

Papertrey March Blog Hop Challenge

Its the 25th and time for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop Challenge.
The inspiration photo is below. I decided to do something other
than a card for a change.

Here is my creation:
I still love the Hippity Hoppity set that Heather came up with last year
so I stamped and die cut the bunny. I also used the photo finishers die
with "Happy Easter" from Hippity Hoppity. A little misc. trim and some
paper shreds with a few jelly beans and I have a happy little basket!
Enjoy the hop!!

I will also enter this over at Simon Says Stamp for
Work It Wednesday March 2015.

Another card for Stretch Your Dies

Another card for Day 2 of Stretch Your Dies.I used The Small Sketched Stars from Papertrey
Ink. They were still wired together so I just die cut the grouping twice. Easy Peasy!! The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Friendship Messages. I made the glitter paper behind the stars with fine glitter from Elizabeth Crafts and adhesive paper.

That's all for now! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Stretching Your Dies

I made this card for day 2 of the Online Card Class Stretch Your Dies.

This is the very first online card class I have ever taken. If you are on the fence, well, let me just say it's awesome!! Great, easy to follow video instruction from a variety of people and lots of extra ideas.
Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner do a fabulous job on these classes! A forum for any questions and all of this is so very inspirational. I want to create the day away. Don't I wish!!!

On with my card! Day 2 was focusing on flower dies(although I used stars).  Here is the card I made after watching Kristina's video.

I first watercolored my paper with Distress ink in Abandoned Coral, Dusty Concord and Peacock Feathers. Cut out my PTI Small Sketched Stars and arranged them how I wanted them on white CS to die cut a sqaure around them. I felt the square needed some more definition and as I inked up the square I also got ink on my card so I had to cut it out of the white. That is why it's mounted on PTI Winter Wisteria CS. The sentiment is from PTI Star Prints.

Hope you all have a great day!!

Make It Monday #204: Watercolor Smooshing

Today I am sharing with you a card I made using a technique from this week's Make It Monday
that Betsy shared with us.  I love this kind of technique because you never really know what the results will look like exactly.   I decided to go bright, being so sick of this dreary winter and with the sun shining so brightly today it put me in the mood.

Here is what I had after the "smooshing".

Lucky to know you!

Tonight I decided to play along with the Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:
Just a Hint of Clover...

Another idea got in my head and I couldn't get it out. Simple but not as easy as I expected.  It took some patience getting those dots back in the clover. You see, I just didn't like the way it looked with
green paper behind it. I wanted it inlaid but couldn't figure out an easy way to do this. Any way,
I finally achieved what I was going after. A little gold embossing and I was done.

I will also enter this into Virginia's View Challenge #13:All Things Embossed.

PTI Supplies: Seasonal Stitching Die, Monthly Moments: March Stamp Set,
 Wonderful Words Additions.
Other Supplies: Green paper scrap and Rubber Stampede Gold Embossing Powder.

Thanks for stopping!

Happy Friday with AAA cards: Watercolor Rain

Today I am sharing a card I made for AAA Cards: Game #34 Watercolor Rain

What a great photo!! I got an idea and you know how that goes. You just gotta make it happen
no matter what. I really needed a rain drop stencil, cover plate or stamp. I had none
of those, believe it or not, so I found a small geotag die that I was able to work with to make
a rain drop die cut piece of paper. The graph paper really helped! I just put it on top of my cardstock.
After I finished this, I really wanted a rainbow effect of sorts showing through the raindrops.
Now, I NEVER, EVER, would have tried this without
my MISTI. It would have been a failed task for sure, but with my MISTI, a piece of cake!!
I used A dotted line from an old Hot Off The Press Stamp Set and kept stamping and changing colors while I shifted my paper about 1/16 of an inch!! Fun, fun, fun!!!!!
I then, clear embossed the entire page instead of trying to just emboss the raindrops.
And here is the final result after adding my clouds, sentiment and blue cardstock.

I am also entering Virginia's View Challenge #13 All Things Embossed

March Challenge: All Things Embossed

On the angle you can see the embossing a little better.
That's all for now. Have a great weekend!
