Take Two: Make It Monday #28: Glitter Die Borders

Here's another card for the MIM challenge over at  http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/

The glitterizing was much easier this time around!

My DH has a thing with monkeys so I thought this would be cute to give him.
I do not usually get into cutting things out like these little monkeys but I thought they were so cute and I couldn't help myself. A little extra time, he's worth it!

PTI supplies:
Ripe  avocado , spring moss and dark chocolate CS.
Leafy vine border die, seed packet frame die(barrel), limitless layers circles dies

Other supplies:
Autumn Leaves: Mindy's Zoo(monkey stamps)
Close to My Heart: Life's A Jungle(sentiment)
Manila tag
Tim Holtz distress inks and wood grain texture fades.
Sizzix embossing folder( leaf pattern-not sure of the name)
glitter by Doodlebug

This was a fun card and I do like the way it turned out. Can't wait until next Monday!!

Make It Monday #28: Glitter Die Borders

I decided to play along with PTI's MIM Challenge(http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/)
And it WAS a challenge for me!  I had some sloppy glue pen issues going on when I was glitterizing but I posted it anyway. Besides the sloppy glitter I liked the overall look of the card.

I used PTI Fruit fusion cherry set for the border(bottom of outline cherry over and over again) and the cherries(obviously), and the sentiment was from Garden Variety. I also used Mat Stack 4 with the bitty dot paper.
Misc. ribbon and memento ink in Rose Bud, Tangelo, Pear Tart and Bamboo Leaves for the sentiment.
Doodlebug glitter.
A great challenge Erin, THANKS!!

Assorted notecards

A quick post to show you the cards I was speaking of yesterday. These came together quickly. I was inspired by http://michellewooderson.blogspot.com/2011/07/leftoversagain.html
I just love what she does. I was lucky enough to get a chance to met her at Stamp-a-faire last month which was wonderful!!   I used the Wreath for all seasons PTI stamp set and some misc cards, Stampin Up Curly Cute and Big and Bold Wishes(PTI). Manilla tags and some ribbon I got at Hobby Lobby.

That's all for now.

Happy 50th birthday card

Today is a friend's 50th birthday and here's the card I made for him:

I used The Paper loft Back Country Collection (Backpack and Marked Trail). It's a great collection for masculine cards which always seem to be a challenge for me. I used dark blue cardstock for the card base.
Used the Backpack pp for the large background and an inch strip of Marked Trail pp. Then I used the PTI mat stack 4 stamps and die and stamped kraft cs in paris dusk(memento). Then stamped 50 with the PTI Outline Alphabet and embossed it in white. Adhered it with pop dots for dimension. I cut a double ended banner(PTI) in dark blue cs and stamped HB in white. Attached a star brad. Added a sentiment inside and I was done.

Back tomorrow with a set of cards I'm working on today.  Thanks for stopping.

Adirondack Vacation

This is my daughter and her cousin being goofy at The Wild Center(an awesome museum in Tupperlake, NY). It was a fabulous place to learn about the wildlife in the adirondack mountains. We all loved it and spent the day.

I'll be back later for another post.
